Pedro Urena is a Fresno native who has lived in Fresno for a while since coming from Mexico back in 1997. He graduated from Fresno Pacific University and currently works with Downtown Fresno Partnership as a Downtown Fresno Ambassador. He says he has fallen in love being an “ambassador” and really enjoys his daily adventures! He assists people on a daily basis at downtown whether finding directions, informing about DFP news, escorting people to their destination, or simply offering dinning and shopping suggestions.

Fresno is his second home and he enjoys living here. He wants to see the downtown area thrive and fully alive like it was before. For this reason, he promotes downtown with great pride because he believes in Downtown. He encourages Fresnans in the community to get involve and support the “I Believe in Downtown” campaign.

Aside from being an ambassador, he’s a community builder and is involved in the community assisting organizations like Valley PBS, Central California Legal Services, Valley Arts & Science Academy, Parent Institute for Quality Education, Compassionate Justice Coalition and a few others. He currently works with Fresno Pacific University with ongoing research and translation projects.

He’s also an artisan and likes to start fun projects. During his free time he spends time making art designs from recyclable materials and write daily tips for his current project. By writing daily tips, he hopes to inspire and motivate many out there! Read his tips:

Pedro is happy to be part of the DFP team and looks forward to share many stories and downtown experiences to you!
