Hello! My name’s Christine Graham and I am a 21-year-old Public Relations major at Fresno State. This is my first semester in the mass communications department and I am hoping to apply my learning as closely as I can to what I want to do with my life. I hope to someday represent a major label or artist in the music industry. Music in Fresno is evolving and events like the Catacomb Party, are paving the way for future artists to emerge and truly put Fresno on the map. When I saw Downtown Fresno Partnership on the list for my Intro to Public Relations service-learning assignment, I knew I had to jump on it immediately. I am so excited to be apart of this cause for my service learning.
I have always believed in downtown Fresno. There is so much potential for it to become beautiful, safe and fun. The timing for joining the partnership could not have been more perfect, I feel as if we are amidst a downtown revolution because the additions of art, huge music events and the new roads in the Fulton Mall. There is so much history to be uncovered within the revitalization, and so much history to be written. I am excited to see where my role as an intern will take me and how I can better serve my community through the process.
