Restaurant of the Week- Dukes Downtown Sandwiches

Posted by DFP Staff

It tends to happen in an office that some days, despite best intentions, everyone is chained to their computers and bogged down with work to do. This is especially an issue on Fridays with that last push before the weekend to get everything done and start fresh on Monday. Today is one of those days- half of us are out fitting in last minute meetings before the weekend hits, the other half of us have to-do lists that go on for miles.

Lucky for us, this week’s Restaurant of the Week was Dukes Downtown Sandwiches, located on Tulare right next to Chukchansi Park.  It’s also conveniently just around the corner from our office, perfect for lunch to go or on the go!  You can call in your order for pickup and take it on the road as you hop from meeting to meeting.

Rocio was a busy bee working the day away at her desk while enjoying a Super Sub- ham, turkey, salami, roast beef and capicola.

Kim ordered a sandwich that wasn’t on the menu because she’s vegan and difficult like that- toasted wheat bread, no mayo, no cheese and all the beautiful fresh veggies that could fit in the bun with deli mustard!

Mitch was the only one of us to eat away from our keyboards today.  Consequently, his turkey sandwich tasted like freedom.

Awesomely enough, Dukes is staying open before every Grizzlies home game this season so you can grab a delicious sandwich before you go root root root for the home team!

If you can’t get enough and wish you could have Dukes for your upcoming big huge OMIGOSH super-bash of a party, that’s totally do-able.  Owner and Chef Justin Dukes also does catering to fit any budget or party size- and not just sandwiches.

Dukes is located at 1920 Tulare Street, give them a ring at 559-486-1396 to call in your pickup order!
